A splendid feast
salted with sea air

JULY 1993
For leaf decoration, roll Fimo out on flat surface and cut out five leaves with 3/16 inch Kemper leaf cutter.  Carefully score veins in each leaf with X-Acto knife.  Arrange leaves on pie top, pressing each down gently.  Bake as directed.
While still warm, cut a piece out of pie the size of two mini slices, using X-Acto knife.  For a "just baked" look, scrape ocre artist's chalk into fine dust and rub this on pie with fingertips.  Paint top of pie with Fimo matte laquer.
Using red Fimo, roll about 40 tiny balls for cranberries, each about the size of a pin-head.  Bake as directed.
Mix a small amount of resin in a paper cup. With toothpick, add red transparent dye and a touch of blue transparent dye.  Stir thoughly.  With toothpick, drizzle resin in cutout in pie, drop by drop.  Sprinkle in cranberries and arrange by gently coaxing berries up sides of cutout.  Add more cranberries and resin as necessary until pie gives illusion of being full of berries. Allow to harden overnight.
