Materials:
Metal Lobster
Red automobile primer spray paint
Black permanent marker
Tiny shells such as apple blossom shells
Soft tan acrlic paint
Fimo - Transparent & ochre
Fine clear glitter or diamond dust
Polymer compound resin
Bond 527 multi-purpose cement
Yellow transparent dye
  1.  Place a loop of masking tape, sticky side out, on a piece of cardboard, then adhere metal lobster to tape.  Spray paint lobster with red automobile primer.  When dry, highlight with fine-tipped black magic marker.

  2.  Pair off similar sized shells for clams.  Place shells, domed-side up, on a sticky-side-out loop of masking tape, and paint with soft tan acrylic paint ( I used Folk Art Butter Pecan ). Let dry.
Knead a touch of ochre Fimo into transparent Fimo until a good fleshy color is attained.  Break off a tiny piece and glue into shell using Bond 527 multi-purpose cement and a toothpick.  Then glue second shell at hinge to form clam, leaving clam partially open.  Bake clams in oven at 250 degrees for 10 minutes.

  3.  For drawn butter, mix resin and catalyst according to directions in a paper cup.  Add a tiny touch of yellow transparent dye and stir thoroughly.  Fill miniature bowl with the resin mixture, drop-by-drop, using a toothpick.

  4.  Make crushed ice to place on seafood platter.  Work as quickly as possible, and in small increments.  Squeeze some Bond 527 multi-purpose cement into a paper cup, then sprinkle in clear fine glitter and stir until a toothpaste-like consistency is obtained, adding more cement or glitter as needed.  Cover the surface of your tray by glueing this "ice" mixture in place.  Arrange and press lobster, clams, and bowl of butter into the ice.  Garnish as desired.
  A note about resin
Polymer compound resin (such as Envirotex Lite) is sold in a kit with two bottles: the resin and the catalyst.  Pour equal parts in a paper cup, then stir mixture thoroughly.
