Materials and Supplies for following Projects
Resin and catalyst
Avacado opague color
Fimo - Ochre, Yellow, Green
and Yellow
Miniature serving dish
Dark brown ballast (used for model railroads - at hobby shops)
Brown terrarium sand
Stirring sticks
7/16 inch circle Kemper cutter
Paper cup and toothpicks
Baking Soda
GUACAMOLE WITH TORTILLA CHIPS
For Guacamole dip, pour small amount of resin into paper cup.  Add avacado opague color and enough baking soda to form thick paste.  Add catalyst as necessary and stir thoroughly.  Fill miniature dish with "dip" and allow to harden at least 4 hours.
For tortilla chips knead together one part ochre Fimo to one part yellow Fimo.  Then knead in a pinch or two brown terrarium sand into this to give tortilla a natural, grainy look.  Roll out on a flat surface until very thin and cut circles with 7/16 inch round Kemper cutter.  With X-Acto knife, cut each circle into four parts or four tortilla chips.  Curl each chip slightly with fingertips before dropping into pan to bake.  Cut and curl as many as needed and bake in oven for 10 minutes at 250 degrees.  Let cool and glue onto miniature serving dish.
TACOS
Taco chips are made from same Fimo mix as tortilla chips.  Circles are cut with 7/16 inch round Kemper cutter, then folded in half around center of toothpick.  Bake as directed above.  For taco fillings, try model train ballast mixed with a bit of white glue for "chorizo" or spicy sausage filling.  For shredded lettuce, bake thin, flat strips of various colored green Fimo and slice into shreds with X-Acto knife.  For shredded cheese, follow procedure above using orange or yellow Fimo.
