MAPLE HAM:
A unique combination of the very fine ham Canada produces coated with the rich, amber-colored syrup of the maple tree.  A piece of craft Styrofoam is used to texture the Fimo ham.
Mix 1 part brick red to 1 part rosewood Fimo.  For fat, mix a touch of ochre into transparent Fimo.  Mix a small amount of fat mixture into ham mixture just to marbleize it.  Roll another piece of fat mixture on flat surface as thinly as possible.  Form ham and wrap with fat.  Gently roll entire ham on Styrofoam to texture it.
Score the fat surface in a trellis pattern with the back edge of X-Acto knife blade.  Darken terra cotta with a bit of black Fimo. Roll tiny balls half the size of a pin head for cloves.  Using the tip of a toothpick, stud the centers of the trellis with cloves.  Bake as directed.  When cool, place ham on sticky-side-up masking tape.  Paint with amber glass stain.
For grape garnish, mix just a touch of leaf green into transparent Fimo.  Roll tiny ovals approximately 1/16 inch in length.  Bake.
Here is a quick way of building grape clusters to use as a garnish.  When cool, place grapes on a piece of wax paper.  Dip a toothpick into the matte lacquer, then quickly "round up" several of the grapes with the wet toothpick.  The lacquer will act as a glue and the grapes will adhere to each other.  Allow to dry thoroughly.  Arrange and glue ham and grape clusters on serving platter.
