WALNUT PIE

Sculpey Modelling Compound - white
Fimo- transparent and ochre
Amber glass stain
X-Acto knife
Resin and catalyst
Amber transparent dye
Paper cup, Toothpicks & stirrers
Black opague color
Miniature pie tin

Roll a bit of ochre Fimo into white Sculpey until pie-crust color is obtained. Roll a ball about 3/8 inch diameter and press into pie tin. Trim excess from edge with X-Acto knife. Flute edges with tip of toothpick. Bake pie shell at 250 degrees for 10 minutes. When cool, brush a little amber glass stain on fluted edge for "just-baked" look.
Chopped Walnuts - Knead a touch of ochre Fimo into transparent. Roll thin snake about the diameter of pencil lead. Bake as above, then cut into tiny pieces with X-Acto knife. Try to gauge the amount you will need to fill the pie shell.
Pour very small amount of resin into paper cup. Add amber transparent dye and just a touch of black opague color. Add catalyst, stir thoroughly, With toothpick, drizzle a bit of catalyzed mixture into pie shell. Add "chopped walnuts" and stir gently to arrange. Add more resin mixture if necessary. Allow to harden undisturbed overnight.
