MATERIALS
Fimo- white, transparent, red, orange, ochre, blue, black, yellow, and  terra cotta
3/4 inch Round Kemper cutter
Kemper modelling tool
Piece of Velcro fastener
527 contact cement
Toothpicks and X-Acto knife
Clear glass stain
Miniature platter
Brown Fine-line marking pen
-----------------------------------------------
Roll out white Fimo on a flat surface to a thickness of 1/4 inch.  Cut out cake with 3/4 inch Round Kemper cutter.  Bake at 250 degrees for 10 minutes.  For sliced almonds, tint small piece of transparent Fimo by kneading the slightest touch of ochre Fimo into it.  Roll short, thick snake about 1 inch long and 1/4 inch diameter.  Roll thin snake of terra cotta Fimo about 1 inch long and diameter of pencil lead.  Put two snakes together and roll both into one  snake about 1/16 inch diameter.  Bake as above, then slice diagonally with X-Acto knife as thinly as possible.  Apply 527 Contact Cement to small area on side of cake.  Press a pinch of sliced almonds onto glue.  Continue to glue on almonds in this manner until entire outer edge of cake is covered.  Allow to dry.
FRUIT FOR TOP OF CAKE
Peach Halves - Knead together one part orange Fimo to one part yellow.  Roll tiny ball 1/8 inch diameter and press this onto end of Kemper modelling tool to make indentation.  Make four peach halves.
Pear Halves - Knead just a touch of ochre Fimo into transparent.  Roll tiny ball 3/16 inch diameter and press onto end of Kemper modelling tool to make indentation.  With fingertips, pinch edge and shape into pear half.  Make three.
Banana Slices - Knead together just a touch of ochre Fimo into white.  Roll short snake onto piece of Velcro to texture.  Roll to diameter of 1/8 inch.  After baking, slice with X-Acto knife, and dot a few seeds in center of each slice with dark brown fine-line marker.
Cherries and Blueberries - Roll a few tiny balls of red Fimo for cheries.  Roll a few even smaller balls of blue Fimo darkened with black for blueberries.

All fruit is baked at 250 degrees for 10 minutes.  Arrange and glue fruit to top of cake.  Paint fruit (except sliced almonds) with clear glass stain.  When dry, glue to platter.
